Speaking of activities of recent....

It has been a long while since I posted here. Work was very busy during the Holiday season, and I have generally had little time to sit down and think of things to write about.

I've acquired many more dresses during the last few months, around 1-2 per month. I will probably take a short break soon from hunting down prints on LJ, although that is exactly what I said before! I was very excited to finally get a hold of the Silent Moon OP by Moi-Meme-Moitie earlier this month. It is quite stunning.  I still am looking forward to finding the Divine Cross print in black X gold some day, but until then I will have to wait (or at least keep my eye out for that one even if I am on buying hiatus).

My Mary Magdalene collection is slowly growing, which I am very proud of. Mary Magdalene is my favorite Lolita brand, as I find their tailored cuts and refined elegance breathtaking. I will be receiving my third MM dress in the middle of February, the Ororu JSK in black. Lately I have found that I am leaning more toward the stylings of Gothic Lolita again, although with a very classic twist. I still seem to only be able to wear pastels for so long :)

Within the next week or so I will be reorganizing and documenting my Lolita wardrobe in its current state, which I think will be a fun project. My wardrobe certainly needs to be re-arranged and re-decorated!

More on life and all that later ;)

Last Weekend's Vancouver Lolita Meetup!!

Last Saturday I went to my first Lolita meet up with the Vancouver Lolitas.
It was one of the cutest, most fun events I have attended in a long time. Everyone was super nice and polite, and looked amazing <3 We started off with a Trolley ride around the beautiful Stanley Park, and then moved on to high tea at the lovely Sutton Place Hotel in the heart of the city.

I'm a little tired right now, so more info and photos on this topic to come soon!

Yesterday's Shennanigans

I was hoping the rain would hold up for my plan to have a small tea-party/movie time in the park, but as soon as my friend and I, dressed in our Lolita regalia, reached the park and started putting down a blanket, the rain decided to come down. Not having much of a plan B to fall back on, we contemplated where we could take our portable DVD player to watch the movie we had brought along, Last Quarter. At this point, my Loli-interested friend, who lives across from the park, had spotted us and came over to see what we were up to. The three of us decided that we would make plans over Bubble Tea at Mama's, where we could also re-charge the portable DVD player ^_^;.
I had some delicious strawberry/chocolate bubble tea, while my friend Hillary had Taro, and Enya had plain Strawberry. After some debating(and much sipping), we decided to head to another, quieter coffee shop where we knew we would be able to watch the movie without many interruptions. Taking our lunch and pastries in tow, we headed to the dim lighting of Flying Saucers, where Enya departed out company and, whilst eating our New York mini strawberry/chocolate cheesecakes and vegetarian samosas,  we began watching Last Quarter, a movie I have been dying to watch (I am a huge Ai Yazawa fan!!)
I am so pleased with this movie. I absolutely loved the concept of it and the visuals. I'll have to buy it as soon as possible, and hopefully get my hands on the original Japanese manga.

So, even though the rain absolutely poured for the rest of the day, I had a great time. My Metamorphose dress and entire white outfit got so many compliments from people all around town. It made me very happy to know people enjoy my fashion taste and look forward to seeing what I will wear next.

I am also very excited about my Angelic Pretty classic black dress, which I will have in a couple weeks. Counting down until it arrives!<3

Writer's Block: Nom nom nom

What's your favorite snack for a rainy afternoon?

A hot drink, like hot chocolate or a good type of tea :) I also like good sandwiches, cupcakes, cookies, and chocolate on these kind of days (although any day these kinds of snacks will do).
Nothing like curling up with a good book, a warm drink, a cozy blanket, and a fuzzy animal friend!
